In 2014, Laura Owens briefly crossed paths with Victim 0, after which she asserted that she was carrying his child, though she provided no substantiating evidence for her claim. Subsequently, Laura initiated a paternity lawsuit against Victim 0. In response, he engaged a lawyer, who, notably, was herself pregnant at the time. The lawyer advised Laura to consult her own obstetrician-gynecologist. Promptly, Laura withdrew her lawsuit and, within a fortnight, reported having suffered a miscarriage.
In 2017, Laura Owens was in a three-way motor vehicle accident while riding as passenger in an Uber. She subsequently sued all parties: Her Uber driver, the other driver, and Uber itself. The outcome of the case isn’t publicly known, though Laura has shared privately that she “made out well.”

In November 2024, Laura Owens paid $350 to rent a studio space with PS Creative Studios in Scottsdale, AZ for two hours. After providing Laura with the video and audio files from her recording session, Laura falsely claimed the audio files were poor quality, even unusable. Laura Owens then filed a complaint with the BBB and Attorney General in Arizona, initially claiming the files were unusable, subsequently changing her complaint to say PS Creative Studios engaged in defamatory behavior against her. The studio filed a response, refuting all of Laura’s false claims with more than sufficient evidence. Laura then filed a fraud complaint with Bank of America, requesting her $350 back. Falsely claiming financial fraud is a Class 6 felony in the state of Arizona. PS Studios has gone full-force protecting their business from Laura Owens’ false claims.

Laura has made false copyright and other claims against the YouTube channels for Dave Neal, Megan Fox, SchnitzelNinja, Lauren Neidigh, Law Talk With Mike, and others. Laura’s lawyer, David S Gingras, has joined in on the fun, making a false copyright claim against Lauren Neidigh in November 2024.

During his time representing Greg Gillespie against Laura Michelle Owens, lawyer Gregg Woodnick, along with Greg Gillespie, was accused by Laura of orchestrating a rape she claimed to have experienced. No evidence was provided by Laura to the court of this alleged claim. It is widely believed Laura fabricated this claim to intimidate both Mr. Woodnick and Mr. Gillespie.
David Gingras
Since his retainment as Laura Owens’ lawyer (March 2022), David Gingras has abused his legal power, threatening and harassing content creators and anonymous individuals exercising their First Amendment right.
Most recently, David Gingras filed a subpoena in an attempt to obtain a Reddit user’s personal identity. Attached as “Exhibit A” in his subpoena request, he attaches an email to Reddit, sent Thursday, November 21, 2024 that falsely claims this Reddit user is “stealing [his] content” and “has committed three separate acts of [copyright] infringement” and requests that Reddit “terminate this user’s account as a repeat infringer.” Gingras claims the user has created “detailed written descriptions” of his videos “for the purpose of stopping people from actually watching” his videos. Nowhere in his email Request to Reddit or his paperwork for the subpoena request (or anywhere else, for that matter) does Gingras provide any evidence whatsoever of this Reddit user stating the above, whether in verbal or written form.
On January 10, 2025, Reddit responded to David Gingras’ request, stating “Reddit objects to your subpoena as invalid,” citing the user’s First Amendment rights. The letter raises seven objections to his request, including a court’s lack of “requisite First Amendment” infringement findings, seeking “information regarding an account holder whose conduct is protected by the fair use doctrine,” the subpoena’s lack of “standing to bring an action for copyright infringement, much less the statutory authority to request a subpoena under 502(h) of the DMCA,” the “DCMA notification contained within Exhibit A is unsatisfactory,” the subpoena’s seeking of “information protected by any privilege,” the fact “Reddit is legally or contractually prohibited from disclosing…information that may be protected from disclosure by federal and state privacy laws, including but not limited to any Reddit user,” and lastly, that the subpoena requests electronically stored information that is difficult to access, available from other sources, or overly burdensome.
