In the early hours of Sunday, July 6, 2025, just four days before Laura Owens’ DVRO against Michael Marraccini was set to expire, David Gingras was pulled over by the Scottsdale PD. One officer reported observing David’s eyes as “bloodshot/watery” and could “smell the odor of intoxicating liquors” on David’s breath. David Gingras refused to do a Field Sobriety Test. Though the officer reports attempting to educate David on the law for SFSTs, David continued to refuse.
At 12:27AM, David Gingras was placed under arrest for DUI. He was handcuffed, searched, and placed in the patrol vehicle. He was transported to the Scottsdale City Jail and booked.
David’s BAC (Breath alcohol concentration), measured by Intoxilyzer, was 0.111% and 0.112%, texted just after 1:05 AM.
Both officers Smith and Blatchford wrote reports of the incident. Those reports, along with the Arrest Report, Vehicle Impound Report, Arizona Traffic Ticket and Complaint, Alcohol Influence Report, DUI Blood Notice, Phlebotomy Blood Draw Report, Arizona Forensic Beath Alcohol Analytical Report and DMV Mail Drop Report, can be found here.
David is currently represented by Jeffrey Van Norman of Van Normal Law.
All available court documents can be found here.
